The mediator, as an independent and impartial third party, supports and structures the discussion between the parties to the conflict, whereby it is the parties themselves who work out the solutions. I act as an impartial outside party in the sense of mediation, but also intervene as a mediator for one of the parties if necessary and negotiate the conflict in accordance with mediation principles.<\/p><p>This hybrid procedure is primarily used in conflicts that are already escalating, as the use of a third, professionally trained person immediately minimizes the tension and the process is extremely face-saving for all parties involved.
